Exploring Space through Sound

Inspired by Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson’s book Death By Black Hole, this ongoing composition will feature a musical agent encountering rogue planets, neutron stars, and space debris in the first movement, crossing the event horizon in the second movement, and getting spaghettified in the final movement. Excerpts of the work were presented at the University of Arizona’s Art of Planetary Science Exhibit in 2017, an annual exhibit for which Dr. Miller was the first musician to be a featured presenter.
